Al Franken

» Read similar stories filed under:

Al Franken is scheduled to announce today that he is a canidate for the upcoming senate race against Norm Coleman.
While it is too early yet to know how he will do, at least it will be interesting.
No longer will we have to listen to the standard reply every canidate gives to a set question, often written by an aide.
Instead, Al's off the wall remarks will add humor, and keep the Coleman campaign on its toes.
I've heard Franken speak, and he he knows the issues.
I hope Al gets the nod from the Dems for the nomination, and if he should not, lets hope he runs anyway.
Time to do away with the caucus, and go straight to a primary anyway!

Al Franken is a typical Hollywood idiot that hates everything that George Bush does. He has elevated himself into an expert on foreign policy and an expert on how to conduct wars. He is a typical liberal that wants to take more of my money to pay for his socialistic plans. Another liberal empty suit that needs to shut his pie hole.

Could we have some intelligent debate here without resorting to name calling? I don't think that brings credibility to your argument.

Well, AL Franken is the king of name calling(his book title: Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot.). That is all he is capable of doing with people that disagree with him. He has no original ideas or is able to think outside the box. So, unless you can educate me on how brilliant Al Franken is, my point remains, he is an empty suit that needs to shut his pie hole.

Kidjon, have you actually READ his book?? He has the facts to back up what he says. And name ONE politician who actually thinks outside the box and has their own original ideas?? No one politician is any better than another when it really comes down to it (republican or democrat or independent).

Al Franklin's comedy was never that great to begin with. So, maybe politics is his destiny. Personally, I find it odd to give up showbiz for a goal in politics. It just proves Al is a loser at laughter and probably has a vision of democracy in America he wants to share it with us? I don't think that's a great way to get into politics because it seems like a person has to sell out and broker deals; maybe shatter a few dreams to get anywhere in politics. By the time you're elected in, it's all about saving face.

All partisan aside, I find Al Franklin strange and boring. Yeah, he's intelligent and one of the few who can land certain media outlets on their ear (FOX News). But he's not a solution to the problem. It's like he's an antagonizer, the special ingredient of conflict that makes a great story.

Anyone would be better than Norm Coleman. And I mean anyone.

Sorry, Tom, if you were intellectually honest and gave it some serious thought, you know that a hate filled, left wing bomb thrower like Al Franken would not be better than Norm Coleman.

Franken's victory...

Franken's victory upheld.
Well, now we know how this one turned out. MN Supreme Court upholds Al Franken's electoral victory-- 7 months after the election. Coleman knew for a long time that the result was settled, but answered to his GOP handlers like a good little lapdog, and held Minnesota hostage. What a guy. Now he is actually mulling a run for governor. Is vanity and hubris that blinding? Apparently so.

Interesting that he might run for governor. Do you think he has any chance of being elected? I think he lost a lot of credibility the way this dragged on.

Norm Coleman needs to just...

Back to page top

Norm Coleman needs to just go away. Its not because of his political views or the fact he took to the Courts to fight for his Senate seat. The fact that this race was this close and Coleman could not beat a clown like Al Franken. How pathetic is that? Seriously, he couldn't beat Al Franken? That fact alone should tell Coleman to just go away. Go make money in the private sector. I don't know what is more laughable, AL Franken as a US Senator or the fact the citizens of Minnesota actually voted this guy into office. Jesse Ventura-Al Franken- both are clowns that have no business in politics.
