Congrats to all the girls for another great year. You're right Kristin, the seniors will be missed, but there is talent down the pipeline. SACS has produced some very good athletes on all teams, not just volleyball.

The strong core will be missed by Shakopee volleyball fans; they have been impressive. However, I'm sure there is another batch of young girls looking forward to stepping up and continuing Shakopee's success.

jwalker, thank you for your persistence in keeping Old Glory flying. I don't reside in SHakopee anymore, but I can tell you that things like that go on in the region of the Country I live in. I agree that it is anti-American people that are doing it. Put up a securiyt camera and catch the person on video.

The Twins will face an uphill battle against the New York Yankees, a team that has owned them since Gardenhire took over. I'm not sure anyone (well, except maybe the Twins) are picking them to win the series. But then again, stranger things have happened. Case in point, coming from seven games back with 20 to play. Plus, the Twins believe in themselves right now. That can take you far.

I thought last night's game was one of the best I've ever seen. (I'm too young to remember the World Series.) It had everything in it - drama, home runs, little ball, good pitching, timely hitting, plays at the plate, running mistakes, great defense, dome hits. It was cool to see both benches (grown men, mind you) so excited about every play. Again, even if the Twins are swept mightily and quickly by the Yankees, last night's game is what fans will remember from the 2009 season.

By the way, anyone catch the Wild game last night? Pretty impressive come-from-behind win in overtime.
