The Scott County Veterans Service Office is seeking photos of deceased veterans from Scott County to honor them this Memorial Day. The pictures will be on display at the Government Center in Shakopee.

It is preferred the veteran be in military uniform in the photo; however, if there is none, any photo could be used.

The photos can be mailed or dropped off at the Scott County Veterans Service Office, Government Center Room 212, 200 Fourth Ave. W., Shakopee, as soon as possible, where they will be scanned and immediately returned to the owner. If a photo has been previously submitted to the office you need not bring it in again.

In addition to the photos the following information is needed: name of veteran, date of birth and death, branch of military service and city (for example, Prior Lake, Jordan, Belle Plaine, Shakopee, Savage, Elko, New Prague, New Market.

The office anticipates displaying more than 500 photos of departed Scott County veterans who served their country to ensure our freedom. The display will be presented May 18 through June 5 in the Link area of the Government Center.
